August 18th

Gazebo Nights at Normal Park in Merrill from 6 to 8 p.m. Featuring rockabilly and bluegrass from Dig Deep. Sponsored by Merrill Federal Savings and Loan and Brickner's Park City. Carry-ins and lawn chairs welcome at Normal Park. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved indoors to Lincoln Lanes (no carry-ins at rain location).


August 25th

Gazebo Nights at Normal Park in Merrill from 6 to 8 p.m. Featuring zydeco, country, polka, Irish and classical rock from Copper Box. Sponsored by Church Mutual Insurance Company. Carry-ins and lawn chairs welcome at Normal Park. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved indoors to Lincoln Lanes (no carry-ins at rain location).


September 5th

Merrill Lion's Club will be holding their annual Labor Day Car Show. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Awards will be handed out after 2 p.m. 


September 10th

16th Annual Merrill Wrestling Alumni Club Golf Tournament at the Merrill Golf Course. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. $75 per person non member, $60 per person for members. Includes 18 holes with cart, sandwich, cookie and water at the turn, and fully catered meal after the tournament, with team winners and raffle prize winners being announced. September 17th

Pork in the Park Ribfest is back at the MARC, 1100 Marc Dr. in Merrill from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Come out and try some finger-licking ribs. You can go around and try different ways that local people cook their ribs. You can judge on who has the best for the Peoples Choice award! If you don't like ribs, other food is available on site - steak, chicken, pull-pork sandwiches, ribbon fries, corn on the cob, cheese curds, and desserts. Beverages are provided by Merrill Youth Hockey Association. 


September 24th

Hit the streets of downtown Merrill as the Chili Cooks take over for the annual Chili Blast from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come on out and try many types of Chili. Head to the front of Merrill Ace Hardware to get your journey card that will get you a sample of all the chili. You will be able to vote for your favorite by dropping your journey card back off at Merrill Ace Hardware or at First Street Coffee Station. Cost is $5 per journey card.
